A Most Fashionable Invitation to the Fops & Fools Mini-Tournament
Aloha, gallants and gentle-fools!
You are most cordially invited to attend the inaugural (and entirely experimental) Fops & Fools mini-tournament, a diversion of singular novelty to be held during our customary Sunday lesson hours.
This contest shall consist of paired-weapon engagements featuring smallsword, rapier, and saber. Each bout shall conclude, as honor and melodrama demand, with a decisive (rubber band) pistol duel.
This affair shall remain unregistered with HEMA Ratings, that all scholars may hazard the tournament field free from anxiety over rank, reputation, or statistical ruin.
Visiting blades and affiliated companies are warmly welcomed, provided they appear properly equipped for the fray. For those of lighter armory, plastic and foam instruments shall be furnished, so that no aspiring fop be denied their moment of theatrical heroics.
Pray read the rules with due care and seriousness befitting so unserious an enterprise. Should questions, qualms, or fits of fainting arise, you are urged to address our esteemed leadership without hesitation.
Composure, lace cuffs, and dramatic sighs strongly encouraged.
